Social-Emotional Support
Academic achievement is aided by the social-emotional wellness of the student. In addition to emergency drop in sessions, Pansophia offers a variety of programs for all students, regardless of grade level, who need additional support in order to be successful. If you would like more information regarding the listed programs please contact Mrs. Houtz.
Individual SessionsWeekly, one on one sessions, are available by request or may be offered to students based on a staff/parent referral. Sessions typically last 15-25 minutes and occur during a non core class so students do not miss key instructional material. Sessions can be discontinued at any time by either student or counselor if deemed appropriate. Sessions may also be carried over into the next school year.

Group SessionsGroup sessions are available on four week rotations all through the school year at Pansophia. Groups are separated by both grade and need. Groups are formed based on staff/parent referral and it is possible for a student to qualify for more than one group throughout the year. Group topics include, but are not limited to: anger management, friendship, study skills and social skills.

Classroom LessonsClassroom lessons will occur sporadically throughout the school year at all grade levels. Topics are determined by the monthly counseling calendar but are highly influence by student need and world/local events. Often times lessons are concluded with a "challenge" or a "charge" in order to maintain student involvement and interest over the course of time. Special guests and assemblies will also aide in classroom lesson carry over.
